First, you must understand why you don’t want to do it. Without an understanding, one day a thought would captivate you and you will succumb.

Secondly, commit your relationship to God. You guys should talk from the start what you want and what you don’t want. And if one partner violates his or her part, frown at it and take necessary action.

Thirdly, find an accountability partner or a mentor. These days, people lie to their mentors so it is not so much about your mentor but a matter of your personal choice to live a chaste life.

Fourthly, quit watching anything that has explicit content or suggests sexual immorality. Always remember that you become what you see.

Furthermore, you can agree on fun ways you can enjoy each other’s company. You can come to this conclusion by praying together. It could be hugs, hand touching, resting on his shoulders etc….whatever does not involve or indulge kissing and excessive caressing. This is suggested because you will want to be close to your partner so you guys pray and decide.

Finally, you basically need to know, love, and understand God and His principles to effectively absorb the information above.
