HOW DOES A WOMAN ACHIEVE BALANCE IN TODAY'S WORLD?

how a woman can achieve balance

How can a woman achieve balance in today's world? How can she balance Family, In-Laws, Work, School, Boyfriends, Societal Expectations etc?

As both a single and married woman, how can one focus, succeed and be happy all at the same time?

Balance in practical terms simply means maintaining excellence or excelling in the different spheres of life that God purposed for you and made to be your business (assignment).

What do I mean?

Many times we add things that necessarily should not be our business and we still want to have balance. Balance emanates from Finding your Identity in God which then would give rise to the discovery of your Purpose in God. For instance, you are working in a bank when you should be in a radio station. No matter how hard you try, balance will be unachievable. Balance is first internal before external. When you don’t understand you, true Balance becomes impossible to attain. Hence, understanding the Priority of Identity and Purpose is the Ultimate Solution to Balance in the 21st Century.

When you don't know God and your purpose, any job is appealing to you, any party is appealing to you, every picture on instagram is very appealing to your eyes and every movie in the cinema is always “the one” you’ve been waiting for. When you know your Identity and Purpose, Prioritization is automatic. You instantly know what you want to do at every point in time.

As women, we want to do it all and want balance at the same time. Sister, you need to understand your unique self to get balance. You don’t need to be stressed by the world's ways, you can look to God and reason with him to plan your life schedule. For instance, a mother who needs to pick up her children from school doesn’t need to “form” Super-Woman when she can delegate a particular errand to a trusted service to get them home. You now can save some time, resources, and energy to help them with parental issues that really matter like helping them with home-work, asking about the moral standards of their teachers (especially class teachers), loving them just to mention a few.

We need to prioritize and don't be religious about it. Some people still think that “not having a maid” means you are the most hardworking woman in the world. As a matter of fact, it may mean you are losing your self and you need to catch your breath. In the bible, women had maids called handmaidens that assisted them and even followed them into their matrimonial homes

Remember

●Prioritizing with God according to your purpose is key. My schedule is not your schedule, so what I need is not what you may need. Stop the comparison! It only adds to our stress levels and increases our blood pressures.

●Understanding Identity and Purpose is your Compass to Balance. Find Your Identity. Find Your Purpose.
