As a lady going to meet her fiancé’s family for the first
time, is it compulsory to buy stuffs for them?
Answer
No it is not compulsory.
However if you feel led, there is nothing there; you can go
ahead with it.
You can also ask your man what kind of people his people are
and what they may expect for a "first time visit". Other than that,
there is nothing mysterious. If you have the money and you can afford it, fantastic.
If you don't, fantastic!
The most important thing is that you make your motive
transparent and full of love. Not that you do it out of compulsion, fear or
what you hear them say about "certain" tribes. That one becomes a tension-filled gift and hence, no longer wrapped with true
Love.
So examine your motives, this will help and vindicate you if
people talk or don't talk, or whether they like it or not.
