CAN YOU CONCLUDE THAT THE AREA YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH IS YOUR CALLING?

Does the fact that you have been in a department for long or you are used to that particular department mean that it is your calling?

Answers

In previous posts that can be found here and here, we have given steps on how to discover yourself in God, at least through different questions even if it wasn’t a special topic.

Departments in organizations and service units in church can be pointers to where you are going, but cannot be concluded as your final destination.

However for some others, what they start with is what they eventually are meant to do, the solution is following God's Spirit (which you must have embraced). Occasionally have private time with yourself, asking God and trying to seek His will for you per time and per season. The entirety of your life is actually your purpose, so no part is actually wasted. Whatever department you are in now, be diligent, serve well but be open and adventurous, try out more of what God has put in your heart and keep moving, eventually you will settle down where He needs you to be and where you are passionate about too.

But really in summary, it can be a pointer. It can be your Major Life’s Purpose. You can only know when you keep moving where God is moving and settling down to hear and take actions in the next step you have heard.
