If putting on trousers outside
church or any Christian gathering is the right thing to do, then why is it
frowned upon when worn to church? OR Does it mean my putting on trousers
and sitting down on the altar make the altar unholy?
Answers
I have divided the post in two parts in order to ensure that I cover all that I believe should be covered.
Since it's a church setting let me start with what she may have had in mind
Deuteronomy 22:5...
Funny...how most people haven't
figured that Bible study is much more than opening your KJV or MSG translation.
Full Bible study (if you're ready for it) requires going back to history,
understanding what was happening at that time, what surrounded the people then
and what may have caused that law to take place.
Please let’s endeavour to do that
from time to time, especially on topics that seem like confusion to the church.
The admonition given in
Deuteronomy 22.5 is an admonition not to live as transvestite which was
practiced by the Canaanites and some people in the Old Testament. God was
telling his people, the Israelites to abstain from such practice.
So who is transvestite--
This is a person who sometimes
wears clothes associated with the opposite sex be it a habit or by compulsion.
Some of these kinds of scenes we have seen in movies and we laugh. Well it's
not funny that is what God was commanding them not to.
I must also add that the (Caitlyn
Jenner) Bruce admitted on the Ellen show specially that he was already dressing
like a woman, wearing bra, pant etc before he finally changed his sex
Why did I bring out this story?
To explain to you the main thing ‘gan-gan’
that God was against. With 'Bruce Caitlyn' story you would see there's a bad
spirit and imagination that is associated with this transvestism...God hated
that and is still against that today.
So you can't just go and wear a
cloth "made for men" and everyone knows it's for men and start
walking around the street. That is not fashion, that's madness.
I'll continue in the second part of this post.
